MyCorkboard – Free, Useful Screensaver for Windows
According to PC Dynamics, the software developer behind MyCorkboard, the application is quite popular with computer users all over the world. As PC Dynamics explained, MyCorkboard has been downloaded by more than 1 million users ever since the application was released.
There is only one explanation behind MyCorkboard’s popularity – there is much to like about this application. Starting in a logical progression, the first thing you are going to like is that the download weighs in at little over 2MB. At such a lightweight download size, the download should complete in no time at all, even on a less than spectacular internet connection.
The second thing you are going to like is that you can use MyCorkboard free of charge for as long as you want. The application is freeware, meaning that you can use its functionality without paying for anything in return. There is one little catch though. You can test MyCorkboard free of charge for a period of 10 days – after this period expires you have to register to keep using it. Registering does not cost you a thing.
Speaking of functionality, we get to the third thing you are going to like about MyCorkboard. With MyCorkboard you can create a customized screensaver; you can put your favorite images on the screensaver, you can put sticky notes, you can put calendars, you can put to do lists, you can put animated pets, and a lot more.
There is one dark cloud looming over MyCorkboard. PC Dynamics has decided to focus all its attention on the SafeHouse range of encryption software (we’ve reviewed SafeHouse Personal Edition) and leave MyCorkboard behind.
